Mick McAuley, Winnie Horan & Colm O'Caoimh in concert

Coolnasmear Hall

Sunday, 23rd of June 2013

The final concert in our current series of “great concerts”  will take place in Cúil na Sméar Hall on Sunday 23rd June. Featuring two stawlarts from Solas, Mick McAuley on accordion and Winnie Horan on fiddle with Colm O’Caoimh from Caladh Nua on guitar, this has all the makings of a great night.  Fresh from their very successful U.S. tour to promote the release of their new album, “Sailing Back to You”, the trio embarked on a home tour and are due to play Belfast the night before joining us. Their performance in Cúil na Sméar marks the final night of the current tour. Described as traditional Irish music with a modern edge, the album has received great reviews and is a collection of traditional and original songs and instrumentals with everything from haunting songs and airs to high octane reels and jigs.

The concert starts at 8.30pm – Cead Isteach €12. Tickets can be purchased from at Ben O’Neill’s music shop or from Micheál Marrinan on 087 3638002.  Tickets will also be available at the door on the night. As always, our branch music students are admitted free of charge
